ABOUT

Lydia Ward - founder of Studio LAW - is a multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin. Growing up in the UK with German and Greek roots, she developed an early curiosity for the forms and rhythms of nature, which continue to inform her work.

After completing formal training in painting, Lydia’s practice evolved to include photography, design, and, more recently, ceramics. Apprenticeships with various skilled German potters have expanded her practice and cultivated a multifaceted approach to art-making that embraces process, texture and materiality.

Today, she enjoys exploring the dialogue between her painterly background and various media, producing experimental works inspired by craft and the natural world.
